British Study Centres summer family Senior and junior course Wycliffe

Wycliffe College, located in Gloucestershire in the small town of Stonehouse which has a busy high street with gift shops, restaurants and cafés, is an ideal location for our young learners. The green college campus is surrounded by the beautiful Cotswold Hills and countryside and enjoys all the benefits of space and the outdoor lifestyle.

The school itself was founded in 1882 and has excellent facilities for learning and activities. Many of the facilities are new and of a high standard including the new sports centre, astro-turf playing field and a good range of accommodation with some of the houses offering en-suite accommodation.

Junior Programmes

At Wycliffe, we offer young learners the opportunity to combine learning English with sports and activities. The college has two independent sites, each of them with its own accommodation, learning and catering facilities, which allows us to split students into two groups according to their age. Younger students aged 8-11 years share the junior school, while students aged 12-16 years stay at the senior school. The schools are 10 minutes walk apart.

Family Programmes

We also run a family programme which provides the opportunity for parents and children to learn English at the same time. Parents are taught separately in adult classes in the mornings with their children following lessons with other young learners

Family programme:

 Daily Routine

Parents are taught separately in adult classes in the mornings while their children follow lessons with other young learners. In the afternoons and evenings, we recommend that children take part in the fully supervised programme of activities at the school.

Meanwhile, parents have the opportunity to explore the local area, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and having many of the UK's most visited destinations close by. The vibrant towns and cities of Bath, Cheltenham and Cirencester are all within easy reach and offer great destinations for an afternoon visit.

As part of the full residential programme, children can take part in all our fully supervised activities and excursions. These are optional activities and parents can choose to spend time with their children visiting the local area instead.

We can also offer parents the opportunity to join us on our half day and full day excursions each week (London, Bath, Cardiff, Stratford-upon-Avon etc). All excursions can be simply booked at the school, for a small charge, e.g. £20-£40.
