» ACCET

Accet | UKstudy.com

ACCET was founded in 1974 for the purpose of improving continuing education and training and has been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a "reliable authority" as to the quality of education and training provided by the institutions we accredit. In 1998, ACCET became the only recognized accrediting agency to be certified as an ISO 9001:2008-Quality Management System, under the international standards established by the International Organization for Standardization, and continues to hold that unique status.

Accreditation serves the interests of companies, agencies, and the public through the establishment of standards, policies, and procedures in conjunction with an objective third-party professional evaluation designed to identify and inspire sound education and training practices. When such a process is matched by an institution's commitment to high standards and accountability, a partnership for quality becomes reality.

The National ELT (English Language Teaching) Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) | UKstudy.com

The National ELT (English Language Teaching) Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) is a self-funding, non-profit, industry-based body operating independently of government and of industry ELT centres, but with strong cooperative links with government agencies and industry representative bodies.

NEAS was incorporated in May 1990 as a company with limited liability. It has been providing ELT accreditation services since 1990 to ELT centres offering courses to students within both public and private universities, vocational education and training colleges, secondary schools and private stand alone ELT centres. NEAS operates with the same set of standards and criteria and applies the same operating principles to all ELT centres.

NEAS also monitors the delivery of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) across Australia through contract with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

The primary goal of NEAS is the maintenance of high levels of quality in the provision of English Language Teaching programs and services by ELT centres to the benefit of the industry as a whole and especially for students.

The purpose of the scheme is:

  • to set standards of quality in the provision of ELT programs and related services

  • to provide a professional judgment as to whether ELT centres meet and continue to meet those standards
