Stafford House Canterbury Accommodation

finding the right accommodatio is one of the most important decisions.

Stafford House Canterbury team is always happy to give advice on the best option for you. Most of our students opt for homestay, however we also offer residences and help students find private, more affordable, long term options
Stafford House Canterbury-Homestay
Stafford House Canterbury homestay accommodation is carefully selected on a family by family basis, ensuring all our Homestay students live in comfortable and pleasant houses with caring families.
Stafford House Canterbury understand that it's a long way to come and study in the UK. Staying in a Homestay is ideal for the English language student, providing the opportunity to speak English outside the classroom and the experience of being part of a British home.
Stafford House Canterbury Homestay offers:
  • integration with family life
  • English practise outside the classroom
  • fully furnished study bedroom
  • students live in single rooms in Homestay. Shared rooms are only available to two students (friends / family) arriving and leaving together.
  • weekly laundry
  • breakfast and dinner are provided every day by the host family
  • lunch is also provided by host families during the weekend
What to Expect
The host family will provide accommodation and meals as booked. Rooms will be cleaned and bed linen and towels changed at least once a week. The student will be provided with his/her own house key and the host is there to offer help and advice as well as to take an interest in the student's well-being. We aim to match a student's requirements as closely as possible with a suitable host.
Students will not be placed in the same homestay as others of the same mother-tongue, except by special request. English is always the main language spoken in the home.
If you want to have some space to yourself and be more independent then Residences and Student Houses could be a great option for you. These are typically offered self catered and sharing with other international students.

Rooms are cleaned before occupancy only and common areas of the houses are cleaned every 2 weeks. Bed linen is provided but students should bring their own towels. Stafford House Canterbury-Private Options
A range of options...
allowing you greater flexibility and independence.
Many long term students don’t wish to stay with homestays for too long. We encourage these students to book about a month in a homestay to settle down, and in that time they can look for a private option.
Canterbury is a student city with two major Universities. This means there is a lot of private student accommodation available, typically sharing houses with university students. We do not book this directly for you but can point you in the right direction.
